Daytona 500 live updates: Restart, weather delay, lead changes and crash updates from the Great American Race

Daytona 500 from 2021 is the 63rd race of the Great American Race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. The race is broadcast on Fox and streams on fuboTV, with a seven-day free trial available.

This year, the race will look different than usual due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of having over 100,000 fans in attendance, the race will welcome 30,000. Social distance and other guidelines will be in place. In the qualification, Alex Bowman captured the Daytona 500 pole in 2021 and gets along with William Byron in the front row. Aric Almirola and Austin Dillon follow in the lineup. William Hill Sportsbook has twice defending champion Denny Hamlin as the favorite with 17-2 odds.

Running day has seen rain in Daytona Beach, resulting in a long delay that began after a major crash in lap 15 and lasted for several hours. The Daytona 500 in 2020 also experienced rain on Sunday and the race had to be postponed to a Monday.
