Fiery pileup on snowy Oklahoma turnpike

Dramatic images show a burning multi-vehicle accident on an Oklahoma City turnpike Sunday.

The pictures tweeted of highway officials show an overturned tractor trailer on the westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike rumbling black smoke as dozens of cars are sanded for a break under very snowy conditions.

First responders were at the scene treating people injured in the crash, according to KOCO News 5.

Highway patrol officials have cut off the public from driving in the blizzard, and said they had already responded to 31 collisions in the middle of the afternoon
