Rapper Nicki Minaj’s father dies in hit-and-run, police say

Robert Maraj, 64, walked in Mineola, Long Island, Friday at 7 p.m. 18:15, when he “was hit by a northbound, undescribed vehicle leaving the scene of the accident,” the Nassau County Police Department said in a statement.

Maraj was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and died Saturday, police said. The murder squad is investigating.

Minaj has not yet made public comments about her father’s death.
