Snowy Owl spotted jumping on prey in Central Park

CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (WABC) – Manhattan’s now famous Snowy Owl was spotted again in Central Park.

The rare critter was seen Saturday night exploding on a mouse from below the snow.

The Birders were out in Central Park on Thursday searching for a rare visitor, a Snowy Owl, who was seen in the park the day before.

Later it was seen lying on the northern meadow.

The bird has quickly become one of the city’s biggest attractions and draws large crowds in the park despite temperatures below freezing.

Eyewitness News caught Central Park’s rare snowy owls on camera over a week ago after it was first seen in over 100 years.
