These businesses in the Houston area will be closed due to winter storms

Many major stores, businesses and government agencies in the Houston area have changed their operating hours or are closed completely due to the historic winter conditions expected for the region.

Several Kroger stores throughout Houston have closed Monday, February 15th. Places that were open on Monday close at 16 and reopens on Tuesday 16 February at 9

Memorial City Mall will be closed Monday, February 15th.

METRO has started suspending all operations of transit services due to winter storm. METRO HOV / HOT tracks and METRO RideStore will be closed. All METROLift trips scheduled for the evening of February 14th to February 16th have been canceled. Customers must contact the METROLift Reservations Center to reschedule tours.

HEB is also reducing hours in stores in the Houston area. Shops close at 21 Sunday.

HEB, Joe V, Central Market and Mi Tienda stores open if they are available from 12-17 Monday, February 15th.

Harris Health officials said all of their outpatient health centers, clinics and outpatient procedural areas at hospitals will be closed Monday, February 15th. Patients were contacted directly about scheduling appointments.

The city of Houston announced that the municipal courts would be closed from 6 p.m. 8 on Monday, February 15 to Tuesday, February 16. The business will resume on Wednesday at 8

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic officials said they have canceled all appointments for Monday, February 15 and will also close the Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Cancer Center, Sleep Center, COVID-19 test sites and Pearland Administrative Office Building due to icy weather conditions. Officials will contact them with a scheduled appointment.

Houston Zoo closes early on Saturday and will remain closed until Tuesday, February 16th. Guests who have already purchased tickets can contact the Zoo to reschedule their visit to another day.

Space Center Houston will be closed Monday, February 15th and Tuesday, February 16th. The facility is expected to open on Wednesday at 10, but this may change depending on the conditions.

The Harris County Tax Office will be closed both Monday, Feb. 15 and Tuesday, Feb. 16 in anticipation of the icy weather. “While all Harris County Tax Office locations will be closed due to inclement weather, Tax Office customers can still complete their transactions,” said Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Ann Harris Bennett. “Customers are encouraged to use the tax office’s website and phone settings to run their business.”

Fort Bend County offices will be closed Monday, February 15th.

The MD Anderson Cancer Center will be closed for appointments Monday, Feb. 15 and Tuesday, Feb. 16. Appointments are rescheduled and patients are notified of the changes.

Houston Health-affiliated Curative COVID-19 test sites will be closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
